Personal data

StuNest is the administrator of the website www.stunest.nl. Your personal data is used by StuNest to provide you with the services offered on the website and to give you the opportunity to use our website in a way that takes into account your preferences and interests. This personal approach is possible because we store certain data. It goes without saying that we respect and guarantee your privacy by complying with the European Privacy Directive (95/46/EC) and the Personal Data Protection Act.

For the sake of completeness, we note that StuNest. is considered the 'data controller' for the processing of personal data under the Data Protection Act. Where in this privacy statement reference is made to The StuNest, this means: StuNest and its group companies (Rockfield Real Estate, StuNest).

Below is set out which personal data is processed by StuNest., the purposes for which this data is processed and how you can view and possibly correct your personal data.

What personal data is processed?
StuNest processes in any case the data that you provide to it (for example, the telephone number given, e-mail address, name, home address, reactions, interests and preferences). As a matter of principle, StuNest does not process special personal data, including data relating to race, religion, philosophy of life, political affiliation, health, criminal record or membership of a trade union. StuNest reserves the right, however, to process these special personal data if you give your express consent or if you have expressly made this data public.

Background check
StuNest draws your attention to the fact that it may carry out a credit check on a rental request, in order to assess a possible financial risk. Here, for example, (negative) payment experiences in recent years are considered. In addition, StuNest consults the Opportunities & Complaints Register, in which undesirable tenant behavior such as housing fraud, rent arrears, improper use of the rented property and nuisance is recorded. Unwanted tenant behavior is also reported by StuNest in the Opportunities & Complaints Register.

Quantified data
In addition, StuNest keeps track of which topics or applications interest visitors by, among other things, checking which topics or websites are most frequently visited. These data are processed on an aggregated and anonymous basis for use by StuNest or made available to third parties. They can best be compared with viewing and listening figures on television and radio. No personal data are processed and the anonymity of each individual visitor is guaranteed. Based on this data, StuNest can best determine which topics on the website are most interesting to visitors, allowing StuNest to better tailor the website to the interests of visitors.

To collect the above aggregate information, a small file is sent to your computer, called a cookie. A cookie is primarily intended to allow you to download our website faster in the future. The data is processed in accordance with the law, in a proper and careful manner and is not processed further in a way that is incompatible with the purposes for which StuNest obtained it.
